Hey, kids!!! Sorry, I haven’t posted in awhile. I was sidelined by the flu, a death in the family, and trying to put together a comedy festival. You know, you’re everyday annoyances and irritations. But, that did not mean my hands remained idle here at Craig Mahoney Studios. Oh no! For this was still work to be done, and got done it indeed did.
These are all commission pieces: Mickey Mantle, Boston Heroes (Tim Thomas, Tom Brady, and David Ortiz), and Han & Chewie. Fortunately, I had a Yankee and a Star Wars painting to act as a buffer and palate cleanser for having to painting a member of the loathsome Red Sawx. ENJOY!
A quick update on the original sports art I currently have in stock. As always, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase. If there’s a player not shown here that you’d like me to draw or paint, you can always commission me for a piece as well. Also, I know we’re still 2 weeks from Halloween, but Christmas shopping season is coming soon and this li’l elf needs a little time to make these toys. So, if you have a sports fan on your list you’d like to get or commission a piece for, now’s the time to start putting those orders in. Thanks, boys and girls. Enjoy.
Working on a bunch of stuff right now that you’ll be able to see displayed in a variety of places. Here are 4 pieces in various stages of progress, from the minor touch-ups needed to finish the Victor Cruz painting to the Big Lebowski piece that’s still just a sketch.
The Yankees need a win today, and I could still use some extra scratch for the new place, so I’m having a one day sale on the Yankees art I still have. E-mail me at email@example.com to purchase.
“Mantle” 24″ x 24″ acrylic on canvas – $200
Since it is the end of the season, the Yankees are in a tight pennant race, and I am also, coincidentally enough, currently in the middle of moving and prepping for an upcoming exhibit (two things a little extra scratch can always come in handy for), I am reducing the price on my Mickey Mantle painting from $550 to a mere $375. This will only last for a short time, so jump on it now. Celebrate some pinstriped history while cheering on it’s future. The piece is 24″x24″ acrylic on canvas, and one-of-a-kind. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
